Can.1547 Proof by means of witnesses is admitted in every kind of case under the supervision of the judge.

Can.1548 $1. When the judge legitimately interrogates witnesses they must tell the truth.

$2. With due regard for the prescription of can.1550, $2, n.2, the following are exempted from the obligation to answer:

1. clerics in regard to whatever was made known to them in connection with their sacred ministry; civil officials, doctors, obstetricians, advocates, notaries and others who are bound to professional secrecy, even by reason of advice rendered, as regards matters subject to this secrecy;

2. persons who fear that infamy, dangerous vexations or other serious evils will happen to themselves, or their spouse, or persons related to them by consanguinity or affinity, as a result of their testimony.

มาตรา ๑๕๔๗ หลักฐานพิสูจน์ด้วยวิธีการใช้พยานบุคคล เป็นที่ยอมรับในคดีทุกชนิดภายใต้การควบคุมดูแลของผู้พิพากษา

มาตรา ๑๕๔๘ วรรค ๑ พยานบุคคลต้องพูดความจริง เมื่อผู้พิพากษาถามอย่างชอบด้วยกฎหมาย

วรรค ๒ ยกเว้นข้อกำหนดตามกฎหมาย มาตรา ๑๕๕๐ วรรค ๒ ข้อ ๒ บุคคลต่อไปนี้ ได้รับการยกเว้นจากพันธะให้ตอบคำถาม

๑.บรรดาสมณะ ในเรื่องต่างๆ ที่เปิดเผยแก่พวกเขา โดยเหตุผลของการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ บรรดาเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายบ้านเมือง แพทย์ สูติแพทย์ ทนายความ เจ้าหน้าที่ทะเบียนศาล และบุคคลอื่นๆ ที่ต้องรักษาความลับของวิชาชีพ ที่เกี่ยวกับเรื่องที่อยู่ภายใต้ความลับนี้ แม้แต่จะเป็นการให้คำแนะนำก็ตาม

๒.บุคคลที่จากการให้ของเขากลัวว่า การเสียชื่อเสียง การรบกวนที่เป็นอันตราย หรือภัยที่รุนแรงอื่นๆ จะเกิดขึ้นกับตนเอง หรือคู่สมรส หรือผู้เกี่ยวข้องโดยทางสายโลหิต หรือผู้เกี่ยวดองโดยการสมรส
