Can.1223 The term oratory signifies a place designated by permission of the ordinary for divine worship for the benefit of some community or assembly of the faithful who gather there; other members of the faithful may also have access to it with the consent of the competent superior.

Can.1224 $1. The ordinary is not to grant the permission required to establish an oratory unless he first visits the place destined for the oratory himself or through another and finds it suitably constructed.

$2. Once this permission is granted, however, the oratory cannot be converted to profane uses without the authority of the same ordinary.

Can.1225 All sacred celebrations can be carried out in oratories legitimately established unless liturgical norms prevent this or the law or a prescription of the local ordinary has made certain exceptions.

Can.1226 The term private chapel signifies a place designated for divine worship for the advantage of one or several physical persons with the permission of the local ordinary.

Can.1227 Bishops can establish for themselves a private chapel which  enjoys the same rights as an oratory.

Can.1228 With due regard for the prescription of can.1227, the permission of the local ordinary is required for Mass and other sacred celebrations to take place in a private chapel.

Can.1229 It is fitting that oratories and private chapels be blessed according to the rite prescribed in the liturgical books; they must, however, be reserved only for divine worship and be free from all domestic uses.

มาตรา ๑๒๒๓ วัดน้อย หมายถึง สถานที่ซึ่งโดยอนุญาตของผู้ใหญ่ผู้ทรงอำนาจจัดไว้สำหรับถวายคารวกิจแด่พระเจ้า เพื่อความสะดวกของบางชุมชน หรือกลุ่ม   คริสตชนซึ่งมาประชุมกันที่นั่น ณ ที่นั้น   คริสตชนอื่นสามารถเข้ามาได้ด้วย โดยอธิการผู้มีอำนาจเห็นชอบ

มาตรา ๑๒๒๔ วรรค ๑ ผู้ใหญ่ผู้ทรงอำนาจ ต้องไม่ให้อนุญาตที่จำเป็นเพื่อสร้างวัดน้อย เว้นแต่ได้ไปดูสถานที่ที่กำหนดไว้สำหรับสร้างวัดน้อยโดยตนเอง หรือโดยบุคคลอื่นก่อนและพบว่าจัดเตรียมไว้อย่างเหมาะสม

วรรค ๒ อย่างไรก็ตาม เมื่อได้ให้อนุญาตแล้ว วัดน้อยไม่สามารถเปลี่ยนไปใช้ในกิจกรรมธรรมดาโดยปราศจากอำนาจของผู้ใหญ่ผู้ทรงอำนาจคนเดียวกัน

มาตรา ๑๒๒๕ ในวัดน้อยที่ตั้งขึ้นอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย การประกอบพิธีกรรมศักดิ์สิทธิ์ทุกชนิดดำเนินไปได้ เว้นแต่พิธีกรรมซึ่งกฎหมาย หรือคำสั่งของผู้ใหญ่ผู้ทรงอำนาจท้องถิ่นห้ามไว้ หรือที่ขัดกับกฎเกณฑ์ของพิธีกรรม

มาตรา ๑๒๒๖ คำว่า ห้องพระส่วนบุคคล หมายถึง สถานที่ซึ่งกำหนดไว้ สำหรับถวายคารวกิจแด่พระเจ้า โดยมีอนุญาตของผู้ใหญ่ผู้ทรงอำนาจท้องถิ่น เพื่อความสะดวกของบุคคลหนึ่ง หรือหลายบุคคล

มาตรา ๑๒๒๗ พระสังฆราช ทำห้องพระส่วนบุคคลสำหรับตนเองได้ ซึ่งมีสิทธิ์เช่นเดียวกับวัดน้อย

มาตรา ๑๒๒๘ เพื่อถวายบูชามิสซา หรือประกอบพิธีศักดิ์สิทธิ์อื่นๆ ในห้องพระส่วนบุคคลแห่งใดไม่ว่า ต้องมีอนุญาตของผู้ใหญ่ผู้ทรงอำนาจท้องถิ่น ทั้งนี้ให้คงไว้ซึ่งข้อบังคับของมาตรา ๑๒๒๗

มาตรา ๑๒๒๙ วัดน้อย และห้องพระส่วนบุคคล สมควรได้รับการเสกอวยพรตามจารีตที่กำหนดไว้ในหนังสือพิธีกรรม และต้องสงวนไว้สำหรับคารวกิจแด่พระเจ้าเท่านั้น ทั้งต้องปลอดจากการใช้สอยทุกชนิดทางครอบครัว
